Most Dance tracks I produce with Basemen: a Holland-based collective of musicians creating music with the energy and beats of dance music combined with the warmth and musicality of Cool Jazz, soul and funk.
The compositions are often created by myself on piano or synthesizer, accompanied by electronic beats by Matty Lakerveld. Gerard Koning is professional musician playing trumpet and piano.
Since 2013, Basemen is focusing on making music with a combination of styles ranging from deep house, soul/funk and Cool Jazz. Still, all music is recorded, mixed and mastered in the ‘basement’ by the basemen, featuring many artist who are adding their musical experience and ideas to the songs.
This track is the first release year, ‘I am invisible’, is released in 2014. Also available on Itunes, Soundcloud, CD Baby and spotify.
'Just give me love' is the second up-tempo track from Basemen, combining real traditional and classical instruments with electronic grooves and synthesizers.
